My name is Walt Case, I own Card Traders of Austin in Austin, Texas. We have been in business for about 16 years and sell a variety of sports cards and sports memorabilia. Probably the most frequently asked question in the industry today is how do I determine the value of my card. Values of cards can be determined by using a publication called Beckett. They product price guides for all of the major sports. Those price guides can be purchased at your local card shop or at most major book stores. Please remember than those guides are only guides. They are suggested values and not necessarily what you might get for your card because many things determine the value of your card including the card's condition and the demand for the particular card. The higher the demand and the less the supply, the better the value, the better condition your card is in, the better the value. So its important to take card of your cards. But if you want a general guide as to what your card might be worth, Beckett Publications publishes price guides for all of the major sports. NASCAR, basketball, hockey, baseball, football. Just go to your local hobby store and pickup a copy of the Beckett price guide and you'll be on your way.
