"I'm Walt Case, I own Card Traders of Austin in Austin, Texas. We've been in business for about 16 years and sell a variety of sports cards. One of the major questions that comes up is how do you determine the value of baseball cards. That value can be determined by using a publication called Beckett. They product a price guide that comes out bi-monthly on baseball cards. That is a guide that will tell you a general range of prices that that card sells for across the country. There are other factors that help determine the value, but to look them up, use the Beckett card price guide. If you have cards that you're trying to sell, the things you need to consider is how much in demand is my card? How many people are looking for it? What kind of condition is my card in? Because those are the two major factors that determine the value. And I think we all have to remember the value of anything is only what somebody is willing to pay for it. So no matter what the price guide may say your card is worth, you as an individual have to find someone who is willing to pay you that price for your card."
