"Hi, I'm Walt Case, I own Card Traders of Austin in Austin, Texas. A lot of people in the industry today are looking to find out how do they price their cards. Specific question, how do I price football cards? A publication called Beckett is the primary source for determining the relative value of any of your sports cards. Beckett produces a football card price guide that is published bi-monthly and will list the key cards in any of the sets that you may have. Remember that the price of a card is determined by its demand and its condition. If you have a card that is all bent up or written on, the price you're going to get for that card is next to nothing. If you have a card that has been kept in pristine condition and the demand is very high, you can expect to get a higher dollar amount for that card. Pricing the cards is a relative thing. You look in the guide, you see the range of prices that the card may be selling for across the country, but remember the card price, the card value is only what someone is willing to pay for it."
