Hi my name is Jena Hartman, owner of Promozone Live, an employment agency here in Florida. We are going to show you today how to research salaries and benefits for an interior designer. Your easiest most simplest ways and resource would be if you know of a friend or family member that is already in the industry. You can ask them what their salaries are as well as their benefits. They can at least give you a general range and idea of what it is that they are getting paid as well as their medical and general benefits. Another great resource is I would go on line to a search engine and type in the key words I would type in if I were you National Association of Interior Designers. Now on there you can find what we are talking about as for salaries, benefits, career descriptions, but obviously you are most likely an interior designer and you just want a feel for the salaries and benefits in your geographical area. Now remember the experience that you have had previously will make a big difference on your starting salary. One other website I want to make sure you know is a government website and it is the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Their website is bls.gov.
