How to Research Salary Ranges & Benefits for a Fashion Designer

"Did you know that most employers are looking for fashion designers, with a two or four year degree? Hi, my name is Jena Hartman, owner of PromoZone Live, an employment agency here in Florida. First and foremost, if you know somebody in the industry, in the fashion design industry, you can ask them their salary and benefits, but most likely, people are a little funny about giving out that information, so you can kind of be pretty general with them. If that's not the case, and you don't know anybody in the industry that you can ask, you can always go online to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Their website is BLS. gov. Now remember, you don't have to be living in New York, or California, to become a fashion designer, but that will determine the amount, the range of salary, that you will be receiving, because what are most people's number two top questions? is how much am I going to make, and will I have any medical benefits, or benefits in general? so go out there. Continue the research, because there is so much to learn about fashion design, and you definitely need to know how much you're going to make. Your experience definitely is going to make a difference, so when you're contacting employers, each employer is going to be different with the criteria, as well as the benefits, if it's going to have to be forty hours or more, but keep on researching, and good luck.
