A job that pays well but offers no benefits is not as enticing as one that offers great benefits but average pay. "Were you aware that 4.6 percent of all Americans in the United States are unemployed? That's some research that I did on-line and found out those statistics. Hi, my name is Jena Hartman, owner of Promo Zone Life, an employment agency here in Florida. When you're looking to get information on how to research salaries and benefits, the first place I would look, I would ask for references or referrals from friends, families, or individuals that you know that are in that career field or industry. That would your best bet to get the pros and cons of what they do and don't like in their field. Some people are a little bit iffy about talking about salary and benefits, if so, you want to go on-line, you can search local search engines, and put in key words in a specific career or field that you're looking to get into. Now with that being said, you want to make sure that you also look into the bureau of labor statistics, the website is, www.bls.gov. On there you can find specific details on salaries benefits, some of the information of training that you might need or schooling. So you want to make sure you get all that information together before you making a wise decision. You want to go on out there, do some research, and get as much information as you can. Now also depending on your experience, geographical areas, and even networking in the individuals that you know on a personal level, because they say, who you know will help you with where you're going. So make sure you find out all the connections that you can before getting into an industry, and also check into your local career counselors, they're very beneficial, they do personality trait test, to see what career field will best benefit you if you do not already have that decision made.
