"Hi I'm Kim with Simply Beautiful in Austin, Texas. We're going to do prom makeup. This is Sara. We have already done some makeup with Sara. We have done her foundation and her blush and we are going to highlight her lips when we are doing prom makeup and we are going to just intensify her eyes. With prom makeup rather than with any other time with makeup we will add some sparkle. We want to add a lot of color and some sparkle. We want to pick up the color of your dress and your eyes and you want to make it fun. You want to make it pop, you want some sparkles so what we have done here is we have just the basic eye. We have dark eye shadow, dark eye liner under and over, close please, over. We have a copper color on the lid and then more of a plum color here. So what we are going to do since Sara is going to be wearing a dark purple dress, we are going to use a very small line this is the brush that I am using for that. It's a very small tight brush and an eye shadow of deep purple. I'm going to go over the line of what we have here so put your eye shadow on, pretty intensely. Use a darker liner that you might during the day, then you want to just pick a color out of your dress, teal or pink whatever is your primary color in your dress. You want to just dress up your eye with that color. Open. So now we have a, you see now we have some plum in there or some color. When you are doing your eyes for prom we have this great mascara. This has got sparkles in the mascara so any time you can add sparkles during your makeup try it, go out and get some of the sparkle mascara, it's fantastic. Just a light coat. You might want to go ahead and just put your regular mascara on and then just put this over the top. Just a little bit of glitter right around the eyes and I guess we can put a little on the bottom too. Look up. Can you see that sparkle, it's fantastic. We are going to go ahead and put a little bit of glitter because what is prom without glitter? This is the glitter I've chosen. It's a dark glitter with some purples and some greens and I'm just going to put it on the same brush and I'm just going to, don't get it in your eyes, it doesn't feel good. I'm just going to put it right underneath, just around the eyes. You just want to bring some attention around your eyes in this area. Let's take some on a Q-tip and just dab it here. Let's get some of that off, just pick your spots, you don't want it all over your face, you just want to highlight your cheekbones. A little bit here, a little bit about your eyes. That is where you want to focus you sparkles. Your blush, find a blush color that you just love. I'm going to choose this pink blush. It is a different color than we would use for Sara ordinarily but it picks up the purple really really nicely. Remember that with prom you want your makeup to go on and stay on and beginning of the night tends to be little more intense so blend it, blend it and then we're going to cover it with some powder to set it. Whoops sorry Sara let me get that out of your face. I'm going to use my flat brush once again with some gold highlighter over the top of your foundation and just give you a nice pop of color right there. You can use any color it doesn't have to be gold, it's beautiful. Use a white, a pink, anything with shimmer init at that point along the top. We are going to keep a real neutral lip, excuse me. I'm going to just do a nice neutral gloss. All you need to do for the prom. You don't need a whole lot of different lipsticks because you are going to need to carry it with you and reapply. So just get a nice gloss that you feel comfortable with that gives you a lot of shine so that we can pick up both the shine in both your eyes and in your lips. So there, now you have a nice matte finish with a sparkle in the eye, with a pretty sparkle in the lips and a really intense eye and don't forget to pick up that sparkle mascara, it's great. Have a great prom."
