"My name is Gabriela Garzon, and I work with G.G. Image & Etiquette Consulting in Miami, Florida. This clip, we're going to talk about how to make an entrance -- how to work a room. It's very important that we project confidence and authority when we are entering any type of room, even if it's for a job interview, even going for a business event or if it's just a social event. I'll give you an example of the first thing that we have to do when we enter a room. When you arrive to a place, the first thing you have to do is that you enter, you walk to your right very slowly. You pause, and you look around and you just go ahead and see key people that you meant to meet or just people that may seem of your interest. And the first thing that you have to do is that you look at them, you make eye contact, and you just go ahead and you walk towards them so they can see you walking towards them. That way, they'll know that when you approach them, they have to either introduce yourself...introduce themself or wait for you to make the introductions. So at the moment, you will be accepted because they saw you walking towards them. And remember, keep your hands free so, that way, when you approach them, you can give a firm handshake. So hold your purse, if you're a woman, to your left and glass in your...in your left hand. Once again, this is Gabriela Garzon at G.G. Image & Etiquette Consulting."
