"My name is Gabriela Garzon and I work with G.G. Image & Etiquette Consulting in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to provide you with some tips on how to propose a toast to your host. Basically, proposing a toast to your host is a response to the initial toast. When it usually happens after dessert is served. The host makes a toast to the guest of honor. Everybody drinks to the toast. And then the guest of honor stands up, raises the glass. And just goes ahead and plays a toast to the host. They're supposed to say some kind words and thanks the host for the toasting. And just go ahead and wait for everybody to drink. The person who is receiving the toast, like the host or the guest of honor. Just stays seated, leaves the glass on the table. And do not drink to the toast. One should never drink to a toast that is made to yourself. Again, this is Gabriela Garzon with G.G. Image & Etiquette Consulting."
