"My name is Gabriela Garzon, and I work with G.G. Image & Etiquette Consulting in Miami, Florida. In this clip, it's basically to know how to be polite. The basics is that you should know how to have consideration and respect for others. If you are aware of your words, your appearance, and your actions while you're dealing with somebody else, you'll know when to be polite. For example, in this case, you can open the door for somebody, regardless of gender -- either a man to a woman, or a woman to a man. You should also remember the words such as 'thank you', 'excuse me', 'you're welcome', 'I'm sorry'. Dressing appropriately is also a way of being polite because you can also be disrespectful with the way you show up at work or the way you show up with other family members or certain situations. Another ways to be polite is that you should not be talking on your cell phone while you're having a conversation with somebody else or you're in a line of a grocery shopping store. The way we express ourselves should show respect to others and to ourselves, the same way with our clothing -- it's the way we express ourselves. So that's just a couple of tips for you to be polite. This is Gabriela Garzon."
