"Hi, if you're like me, especially around the holidays sometimes you get a little bit bigger and then after the holidays you want get a little smaller. Hi, my name is Daniel King. I'm a pattern maker and designer and I want to talk a little bit about alterations for clothing. Especially with men, we usually get larger around the waist, this is a mens trouser and then we can take the waist out by taking going to the center back of that trouser this is usually where that alteration is done. The trouser manufacturers know that this is something that is commonly done, so they always put a little bit of extra fabric on the inside. So we can let some of the back seam out, or we can take it in if we need to. There is also a seam right there both on the waist band and the outside. We will take this apart, you can then let it out, sew it back up, turn the waist band back in, and tack that back down again. And that way you get a nice larger pair of pants or smaller as the year goes on if you start to work out. That's a good tip for doing alterations on clothing. My name is Daniel King and thank you!"
