"Hi folks. In this clip I'm going to talk to you about working in the film business. This could mean a lot of different things. There are many, many, many jobs that make up the film making process from low level assistants that run around and grab coffee for people to the guys in the suits who have their offices down in Beverly Hills, who write the checks and make the big calls in terms of whether movies are going to be made or not. So, what does it mean to work in the film business? It means basically what it sounds like. You are in the business of making movies. You could be a director. Someone who oversees the creative aspects of the production, is ultimately in charge of making the movie and the person whose artistic vision it is. It could be the producer. The person who is basically responsible for making sure that the movie gets made in the most efficient way possible. You could be any number of other department heads working underneath those two from the set design person who designs the look of the sets. The production designer, who is in charge of the overall production in terms of what it's going to look like. In terms of coloring and locations. You could be costume. Someone who's in charge of wardrobe. Makeup...there's many, many different jobs. Many, many jobs and so if you're looking into working in the film business, there are many, many ways that you can do that and a great many resources for you. One of the best ways to learn about the film making process is of course is to go to film school. Many, many universities around the country have film making programs where you can learn any number of jobs in the film business."
