How to Style Hair With Gel

"Hi, I'm Terry and in this segment we're going to be talking about how to style your hair with gel. Now you want to use gel if you have an up do that you really want to hold securely. You also want to use gel to create volume, and also if you've got really curly hair, it will keep it from frizzing. Those are the three main reasons why people use gel. I'm going to show you how to use gel to put volume into your hair. So, I am using a sport gel. It's also got shine to it, too, so this is kind of nice. It'll create a little bit of a shine to your hair. So I've taken a quarter size amount, rubbing it into the palms of my hand. And I'm going to have Angela just flip her hair forward, and into the roots of her hair I'm just going to work the gel in. Just into the roots. And then once it's in the roots, I'm going to just use my fingers and drag it about halfway down the lengths of her hair. But, it's ensuring that it's mainly in the roots, 'cause that's where the volume you get from your hair it's by working in your roots. Your gel doesn't take a long time to dry. Shake it in. And then we're going to have you flip your hair up, Angela. Great. This way you get the volume of the gel, but without getting that wet look. Because sometimes with gel you get this kind of wet look, but when it's underneath and in the roots, you're going to get that nice volume that gel's going to give you, and it's going to hold throughout the humidity, and it's going to hold her wave in all day, as well.
