"Congratulations on choosing to breast feed your newborn baby. Hi, my name is Vickie Wheaton and I'm going to give you some guidelines for breast milk storage. The first thing that you will need is your clean bottles and nipples, and then you'll have to go and pick out the breast pump that you think that you will be comfortable with. There's several breast pumps that you can purchase from the store. They have electric ones or they have the hand pressure ones. I, personally, choose the hand pressure one because I felt more comfortable with that. Once you extract the breast milk, you would place it in a clean bottle, then of course you must store that milk properly so that your child will not get ill from it. You would mark it with the date, and make sure that you always rotate your milk when you store it. To store, the reason that you store your breast milk is maybe you are going to be going out to dinner with your husband and you would like to have the babysitter feed your baby. This way, you're not wasting your breast milk and just extracting it and throwing it away. That way you can give you baby the nutrition that you have from your own body. These were some guidelines for breast milk storage. My name is Vickie Wheaton."
