"This is Richard Goms. We're here in Murray, Utah. We're talking about basic car care. I'm going to show you now, how to determine how many cylinders your car has. The way you determine how many cylinders your car has, is that you look at the number of spark plugs. Now, you'll see that there are one, two, three, spark plugs here. These are the spark plug wires, going to the spark plugs that are screwed into the engine block, and then you can see that the three wires come up here, to what is known as the distributor. You'll also see on this one, you'll see that there are three spark plug wires going to the back of the engine. Actually, this is what's called a V6. It's actually got six cylinders, and you can also tell because of the valve cover, is sort of angled to the front. There's one belt cover here, and there's one in the back, back there, so there's three cylinders on each side. Also, somewhere on the top of the engine, usually there is a label. This one says, 3.8 Liter V6, so the V stands for, it's a six cylinder, and it's organized in the shape of a V."
