"Hi, I'm Jay French, from JayFrenchstudios.com. Today, I'm going to show you how to draw devil wings. Well, of course, that's a little different than just drawing bat wings because you can get a lot crazier with it. I'm going to draw a basic side view of a form here of a little devil, make little horns, and folded arms, sitting. Ok, so here's our back where we're working from, with devil wings they usually come from the shoulder area on the back, there is always the basic shape of, in bat wings you have, from the body, you have the arm, basically, is what this is, so you have a elbow, you actually have a curve in the center there and then the arms that make up the layers of the wing, in a bat are actually fingers. Of course, on a double wing, that's not the case, but, if you want a nice creepy look for your devil wings keep that general shape, keep that general concept in mind. That's something I use for, especially, creepy looking devil wings is to make, basically, the knuckle's of each joint of the wing, very knobby, even the weird joints at the back, knobby there has, that's sort of an elbow. I also, will make the ends of each of these fingers of the wings, very sharp, sometimes even barbed, of course, I'm really good at that. So, you keep that general look going, remember that as you get inward, closer to the back, they each get shorter. Usually, only need about three, go for a very dramatic curvature in the webbing between the wings, or for an especially creepy look make them tattered, maybe only in certain areas, let's put a hole here, let's make this particular little devil war torn, missing all kinds of parts, and, of course, the coup de grace, handsome. Now on a bat, you have, basically, what is a thumb, you can have one big claw here, but on a devil wing, I like to add several, make them barbed, using more than three it gets a little bit crowded but, play around with it see how it looks for you. There you have the basic lesson in how to draw devil wings."
