"After working at a shop for a while, you find yourself collecting bikes and bikes and bikes. Before you know it, you have eight or ten. So, where do you put them? I'm Mukie from Gregg's in Seattle. We're going to talk about how to hang a bike safely and efficiently. One of the best ways to store a bike is to hang it from your ceiling. It keeps it off the floor and you're going to keep your air in the tires longer because you don't have the weight of the bike sitting on itself. The easiest way to pull down a bike or put it up is to start with the front wheel. All you have to do is push up and when you bring it down the bike's going to be hanging by its back wheel which is a lot more stable than if it's hanging by the front and swinging all over the place. So once your front wheel's down all you have to is pull it down and just make sure that you get a good handle on it so you can bring it down and it's not going to fall on top of you and hurt you or hurt the bike. When you hang it back up, you just want to reverse the process. Grab the bike, usually by the frame is going to be the most stable, pick it up and hang it from the back wheel first. Once again, that way it's not going to be flopping all around from the front wheel and then just get under it, use both hands and push the front wheel up and hook it on the hook. And you're all set. I'm Mukie from Gregg's and this has been a tip on how to hang your bike."
