"Hello. My name is Eric White and today we're going to talk about how to make SWF files. SWF files are the packaged files that accompany HTML files when you create flash web sites. So first step, go ahead and open up Adobe Flash and that created a new document. Here we are at the stage. Let's go ahead and insert some text. "This is my wonderful, exciting, fantastic flash site." Going to go ahead and center that in the middle. And I'm going to make it a little bigger. There we go. Center it. Oops and it's too wide. I'll just resize it to fit the center. Okay. So here's my web sit for Flash. Next step is to publish this and when I publish, it's going to automatically create that SDF file. So I'm going to go ahead and go to publish. Actually, I'm going to go to publish settings. And those need to be checked. This is all good. I'm going to go ahead and hit publish and then hit okay. Now the problem is, I didn't save it first. So I don't know where it published the files to. So let's go ahead and save. And we're just going to save it right to the desktop. We're going to call it my flash site. Save it right to the desk top. That creates your FLA file which is the Flash file. Now I'm going to go ahead and click on publish. Now if I clear my desktop, here's our flash.html and here's the flash.swf. Now when I open up this file, this is my wonderful, exciting, fantastic flash site. I just created a SWF file and now you can too."
