"Hello, my name is Eric White, and today, we're going to talk about how to make an avatar. Now, avatars are normally very personal to people, and I'm kind of partial to gorillas, so I think I'm going to make my avatar a gorilla. So first thing I do is I opened up Adobe Flash. I'm going to go to File, Import, Import to Library, and then I'm going to go to where my avatar is. Let's see. Pictures, Avatar. Here's my gorilla picture. Okay. So if you see over here, the gorilla picture is in my library. It's not actually on my stage. So what I'm going to do is since most forums or places where you would use an avatar require a maximum size, I'm going to go ahead and set my maximum size to 76 pixels by 76 pixels. The way I'm going to do that is I'm going to click down here and resize my stage to 76 pixels by 76 pixels. So 76 by 76. Go ahead and hit okay. Now, I'm just going to grab my gorilla picture over here into...onto the screen. Whoa, that's too big. So I'm going to go into the window and I'm going to pick my align tool. Now, I'm going to select the picture. I'm going to size it to stage, match width and height. Then I'm going to align it to the center of my avatar. The only thing left to do now is to export it as an image, and I am going to choose JPEG. That's .jpg. And I'm going to name it gorilla avatar, and then save it to my desktop. Go ahead and take the defaults. I'm going to use the full document size, and then hit okay. And that's all there is to making an avatar."
