"Hello, my name is Eric White and today we're going to talk about how to trace your family tree online. Now if you go into a Google search engine and you search for family tree online, you're going to get literally thousands of hits. That's a very popular subject. Its a common thing I think as human beings we tend to want to know where we come from to try and figure out where we're going. I found this free site, its called FamilyTreeGuide.com. Now you just have to sign up for an account and then you can start working. Now they do have a demo here. I'm going to go ahead and click on the demo and then here's the top 100 surnames and I'm going to go ahead and click on my last name White. And what is does is its going to pull up these trees, here's the partridge nest, it looks like that's the only one they've used for my particular last name in this demo. And you can click on these and see how they relate to the three as a whole. Now that said, this is a free way to do it. There are lots of software out there you can use to track your family tree. I happen to think the best way, this is my personal opinion, is to try and find a professional, an actual person to help you track down your family tree. There's a lot of tricks and a lot of places to go to get the information to trace your family tree back. So that said, that's all you need to know to trace your family tree online."
