"Hi. This is Laura Turner and today we're going to look at how to write a paragraph. It's very easy to write a paragraph in and of itself, just as it is very easy to just write a sentence. But writing a good paragraph or a good sentence is something totally different. What you need to remember is that a paragraph has to be a self-contained entity. It has to be about one subject. And, it has to also contain an introductory sentence, which leads you into that subject. So, almost think about a paragraph as a mini essay, in that you have your introduction, your body and then your conclusion. A paragraph can be three sentences long and still be identified as a paragraph. So, if you just think of it that way, if you have a beginning, a middle and an end, a paragraph is also like a story. So, for an essay, whenever you write your paragraphs, what you also want to do is you're going to make your paragraphs self-contained, but you're also sort of help them to lead in to the next paragraph, so that you can string them all together. And then, have a complete story at the end of your essay."
