"Choosing the correct right wine glass, as you can see I've produced a number of different styles of wine glasses here. What I'll say is that choosing your glass depends on the occasion again. For everyday drinking it's nice to have just a convenient glass where if you break them they're not such an issue. That holds about, from a bottle, four glasses, four and a half glasses. You also have then the more grand styles of glasses. Here, we've got one of the top wine glasses you get. This is a sommelier bordeaux and you've got a sommelier burgundy here by one of the fine producers of drinking wine glasses in this world. We have other styles of glasses here, but let's just concentrate on what you'd use for wine. You'd use these everyday and you'd serve as normal these sort of quantities. It works quite well with red and white, it's got nice long stem to hold to keep your hand away from the wine itself because if you're serving wine at room temperature, you don't want to warm it up, particularly with cold wine you won't want to warm them up. So that's the next wine glass to use and they come from every sort of supermarkets will have a nice wine glass. For the most specialists if your wine, if you buy expensive wine or want to really savor your wine, you want a slightly bigger glass so that above it aromas of the wine can sit. As you're drinking the wine the aromas going to the nose, there's a chance to accumulate to get better concentration all around. Now you're having a dinner party and this is just excellent presentation, use it for white wine, red wine. This one happens to be called a sommelier burgundy as opposed to sommelier bordeaux. It curves out of the top but you can ignore the names and use the wines, any wine in these glasses, white wine, red wine, perhaps not dessert wine because it might get a bit lost in such a big glass. Dessert wines may be smaller glasses, but if you haven't got anything that would still work. It would sit, you'd have a very, very small quantity but if you sip above there the wonderful aromas of wine. So you can enjoy your wine in those. For champagne as you know there's a classic flute and there's a, what I call the classic glass for champagne the curved glass. These are all about just delivering the, creating the image of champagne. When the bubbles come up, there's a good chance to see them in the flute, and they will pop just in front of your nose and adds to the sensation of drinking champagne. Keeping the top small means the bubbles are concentrated into that area. Had you used the bigger glass, in the old days in the 20th century, you often saw champagne glasses like that, they just dispersed the bubbles so you don't get more of an effect from them However these are perfect for champagne cocktails and these are perfect for something called martini cocktail. Often a martini cocktail is quite strong so this is a nice measure in there. For cognac and spirits, this is one of the most ideal glasses because cognac and spirits release quite a lot of alcohol in vapor. So that's the last thing you want to go into your nose because it tends to sterilize your nose, your ability to smell. Sp by keeping it nice and concentrated in a small surface area, when you're coming to drink delivery is more to your mouth than to your nose and you get a hint into your nose so that you're not overwhelmed by the aroma or by the power of the alcohol. This is again the Sherlock Holmes and the likes hold these sort of glasses. Cognac glass not necessarily the most ideal because you don't always want to warm up your cognac and release that vapor. As you can see the way the glass is shaped, it tends to concentrate vapor in there. Again as you're drinking, your nose goes into the glass as well and so if you get too much vapor in there, it's just too strong. But they are lovely wine glasses or lovely cognac glasses to drink from. They're more for show but if you want to taste the, in a tasting situation, it's better to limit the exposure of the nose to the alcohol. So this a range of glasses, some for champagne, some for cocktail, different styles of wine glasses, they both apply to red and white wine. The bigger the glasses, I would use for much more finer wine because the aroma is the most important thing. So here you've got a nice selection of wine glasses to choose from."
