"Hi, I'm John with ExpertVillage.com, and today we changed our spark plugs. And we've talked a little about our spark plug wires. We want to know about our ignition system. Now one way when we talked about if when this can jump to the other wire, the electricity can jump to the other wire if it's not insulated properly. One way we can find out if it's doing that, is going into our garage or waiting until it's dark at night and simply popping your hood and turning your car on. Without touching the wires, just by observing them. We don't want to get shocked, we can just look to see if there are any sparks. Now it needs to be as pitch black as you can get it. So we want to see if they're jumping. If they are jumping, then it's misfiring. Then we'll know we need to get new spark plug wires. Now you don't have to replace your spark plug wires every single time, just whenever you notice that they're not working right, if they're not insulated. And if you do replace them, go get some nice ones. And it'll be worth your money because they'll last like the ones I have on my car."
