"Hello my name is Carlos Davila and I'm a personal trainer in New York City. In this clip we're going to talk about preparing for a cross country race. One of the main things we want to focus on when preparing for a cross country race is the fact that you don't know what the elements are going to be. So clothing is going to be a main issue. What am I going to wear for this cross country marathon? Footwear is going to be a big concern. You want to make sure that you have footwear that's going to allow to traverse different terrains. Out here we have a perfect example of the different terrains you may fall play to in cross country race. You have, you may have grassy hills that you're going to have to climb while you're doing your cross country race. You may have some concrete patches that you're going to have to focus on. You may have dirt patches that you may have to focus on. You may be on an actual track while you're doing your cross country marathon. So the main thing to focus on with a cross country race is the fact that you are going to be running on different terrains. So in your training you want to make sure that you're getting in as many different terrains as possible within your training program. This is Carlos Davila personal trainer, New York City."
