"Hi, I'm Chris Murray, and I'm going to tell ya how to set up a corner kick. In soccer, there are many different...there are many different ways to restart the game when the ball goes out of bounds. One way to restart the game is a corner kick. A corner kick is provided when the defending team kicks the ball over their own goal line. A corner kick takes place from four corners of the field. When taking a corner kick, there's one player who kicks the ball in from the corner. The other players on the team will be inside of the other teams eighteen yard box. This provides the attacking team to be able to get a free shot or a head around goal. Usually, the defending team would have nine to ten players inside of their own box defending the attacking team. The goal keeper will instruct these players on where they want them to be. Usually there'll be one player on the front post, and one on the back post to defend against headers or shots that come into the corners. The attacking team will usually send six to eight players into the box to try and score a goal. And that's just how you set up a corner kick."
