"Hi, I'm Veronica Baragas, with mywigglesandgiggles.com, and I want to share with you how to relieve an infants of gas. So, first you want to find out you know, what may be causing the gas. You know, you could look into whether it's air bubbles caught in the stomach, you know, during feedings. You can look at an undeveloped digestive system, or you can look at maybe what it is that you're feeding your baby to cause this. Could be the milk, the formula, the breast milk, especially if you're breastfeeding. A lot if it could do with what you intake, and so I would monitor and kind of note what it is that you're taking in, and seeing when the baby's having gas. Maybe you can eliminate certain foods. There's certain ways that you can help when you're breastfeeding or when you're formula feeding. I would definitely do plenty of burping. You can do it at three ounces or six ounces, or you know, if you're breastfeeding, after a certain amount of time, so I would definitely promote lots of burping. You could also lay your infant flat on its back and do, you know, slight pressure onto the tummy to release, to help release the gas, or you know, if you think it's a little bit more serious than that you can definitely contact your doctor. I wouldn't recommend infant drops, or I wouldn't recommend gas drops at such a young age. That's again, you can consult your doctor. Depending on how severe the gas is you also may want to look into colic as well. So, just taking note and being aware of what it is that your baby's taking would also help eliminate with the gas. So, that's what I would do in order to help infants with gas."
