"Hi I'm Veronica Baragas with my Wiggles and Giggles.com and I'm going to share with you how to teach a toddler number recognition. I would start out at a early age maybe talk with your child care provider and expose them to the common one to ten numbers. And definitely be consistent with it. You can use anywhere from your address to phone numbers. Anywhere that you see numbers you can show them the sound, have them point to it, keep them interactive, flash cards. As you would with anything with shapes and colors you can do the same with numbers. Typically they don't start to recognize or really understand numbers until a little after two. So even starting at a younger age reading books and using flash cards could really help with that. So definitely just be consistent and continue to show them maybe work at one number at a time and the will definitely get down working with numbers."
