"Hi, my name is Veronica Baragas, and I'm with MyWigglesandGiggles.com, and I'm going to share with you how to raise a vegetarian baby. Now, there isn't much that really changes from a vegetarian to a non-vegetarian when you're a baby, because primarily a lot of the foods from solids to whole that we feed are fruits and veggies. The only thing that really matters is when around one year's old, when you're able to actually introduce meat products, I would definitely consult with your physician first and find out other ways to supplement the protein and iron, and the different essentials that are needed as part of their diet. So, of course, you just wouldn't feed them any meat products. You can stick to cereals, purees, or whole foods, depending on how it is that you want to start. You can also use ice tray cubes that you can puree your veggies or fruits, pack them in there, freeze them, and you can bring them out little at a time. So, that's just one of the ways that you can use baby food. Or you can definitely get food out of the jar. Definitely look for things that have no added sugars or preservatives. Usually organic style is best. So, bottom line, when you're wanting to raise a vegetarian baby, I would just consult with your doctor between ten to thirteen, fourteen months, usually when you start feeding solids. Six months is a big time to kind of figure out what you want to do, but you don't have to start feeding them meat products then. So, just consult with your doctor, and make sure that you're, you know, thinking through the choice of raising a vegetarian baby."
