"All origami starts from simple bases and my name is Robert Segundo and today I'm going to teach you a not so simple base called the fruit base. It's really not ever considered much of a base because basically it's part of the frog base when you go in to building the frog base. But I'm going to show you how to do it anyway. What we're going to do is we're going to start with a square piece of paper as always, because the Japanese are very - are people that like square paper a lot. What we're going to do is we're going to take, we're going to fold this like so. It's called a sheet fold like so. And this is one of the basic folds that you can make. Basically what we're going to do is to get to the fruit base we're going to have to create several bases to work up to that point. So there we go. So I've sheet folded it on both sides like so, what I'm going to do is this is called a book fold or a book base, fold this over like so. And take it, book fold it again like so, basically what I'm doing is I'm going into the square base or the flower base from this point. So to go into that we're going to use this triangle as our piece right here, and we're going to fold this piece over, fold it back along that diagonal crease, like so. And do the same thing over here, so fold this angle down and fold it back like so. Then it will kind of almost fall into place at that point. Now from here to get to the fruit base basically what you're going to do is just fold up your piece like so, and you're just going to squash fold it, like so. And this leads directly into your frog base, after you do this, but let's just finish this up. So as you can see we went through about four simple bases just to get to this point. This is a more complex base, and yet this is still part of another base or other bases as you go along. I'm just going to hold it down like so. Let's flip this over, and finally do our last one, and this is really it. This is your fruit base, so play around with it, have fun, and enjoy."
