"So the Antiques Roadshow is coming around and you want to know how to get on it. I'm Blake Kennedy with Kennedy Brothers estate services. And I'm here to help. The Antiques Roadshow is one of the most watched TV shows with antiques and collectibles, ever. everybody knows about the Antiques Roadshow. They love watching it to find out what they have. And you're dying to find out if you can get on there. but you got to realize, the antiques roadshow is just a TV show. If you're watching it, there are thousands of people trying to do. What you want to do. So how many people do they show on the roadshow? Probably five or six. So you got to make sure, you bring that extra special item to that show. Just don't bring some average thing because a lot of average things are coming to the hallways of the antique roadshow. And they're going to give you a price on it. But you're not going to get on TV. You've got really know, what you're bringing. You've got to have a pretty good idea that hey, this is something special. Because I've heard it from my grandparents. That it's worth a lot of money. Whether it's a Tiffany lamp, a beautiful watch or even a painting. And the one thing about paintings, you want to watch out for. Is if you get one that is an artist in that particular area. That was a famous artist. Because they love to talk about. The roadshow goes to different states, different cities. So if you have a good artist from that particular city. Chances are, you'll get on the antique roadshow. Because they like to make it all you know, come together. From that area. But don't be disappointed. It's really worth the experience to go and get in the line. And find out and see all the different things that the people are bringing to the antique roadshow. You'll meet a lot of nice people. But they're going to give you a price on that item. So you're not wasting your time. Because they're there to tell you. give you an appraisal on that particular item.
