There's a car company that says, "We sell excitement." Why do men date younger women? This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls: A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating and host of Ask Dr. Paul. Well, it's been an age-old story, and we don't use the old word, so it's been an ageless story. So why do men date younger women? You know, the first answer, of course, is because they can. And we see the various leaders in the world having younger wives or showpiece wives, as it were, and it works for them. And the reason it works for them is because they may also be high energy, dynamic people. When you see men who are dating younger women, oftentimes, these men are successful, dynamic, and high energy. And quite frankly, they don't find that with women that may be in their age range, so they find the excitement and spontaneity with younger women, and that's why they date younger women. No aspersions to be cast on an older woman or a woman in their age range -- it just is the way it is. They do it because they can -- because they have the ability to -- and that's how it works.
