"Hi I'm Jenna Dunn at Walker's Eternity and Prom in Provo, Utah. Today I'd like to discuss with you how to get a wedding dress fitted. I'd like you to keep in mind that when you come in to a bridal boutique do not expect the dress will fit you perfectly. I want you to keep in mind that most wedding dresses are cut for girls that are about 5'8" or 5'9" so girls that are a little bit more petite alterations will need to be done. Let's take this dress for example, when getting it fitted often girls have problems with the shoulders. When the dress is a little bit big on the shoulders keep in mind that it can be taken in. Many girls often become discouraged when a dress isn't fitted properly and an alterationist will be able to fit the dress to you. Our dresses happen to have extra material in the side seams. We happen to have about two extra inches so if a dress is a little bit snug it can be let out. It is easier, however, to have a dress taken in which is often no problem at all for most experienced seamstresses. When receiving a bustle in your dress it is to help after the ceremony during the reception. A bustle is when a seamstress puts in a simple hook so that the dress can come up and be floor length. This is an English bustle. A French bustle is a little bit different. It comes underneath the dress and is tied underneath so you have an extra little bit of a poof. The dress will be floor length and the seamstress can make it custom to whatever you would like."
