"My name is Lauren. Today, I'm going to discuss how to make a perm fall out faster. There are many times where we'll go to the salon and we will get a perm, and maybe because of other things that we've done to our hair, such as color or highlights or maybe just because of the perm or the curl is too tight, you do not like the perm after you get it. Maybe the curl is a little frizzy, unmanageable, maybe your curl is too tight. In order to relax a brand-new perm, you'd want to go home and shampoo instantly. Normally, the rule of thumb is to not shampoo. If you do not shampoo, what that does, is it helps the perm set. If you are unhappy with the perm, then you are going to want to go home and shampoo because it is going to loosen up that curl and help the perm fall out a little bit. Another great way to relax a curl and to also loosen it up, also to give it a little bit more softness and a little less frizz to a permed curl, you can condition your hair with coconut oil, which you would actually heat the coconut oil up and then apply it to your hair from your hair...from your root to the end of your shaft. You would let it sit for two or more hours in your hair. It will act...do two things. It will, number one, help loosen up that curl, but it will also really moisturize your ends, which will help if your hair's been over-processed, or if you're...due to too many chemical services at once, your curl just came out a little bit more on the frizzier side. You would then use this in order to re-nourish your hair. If you can...after you try these two steps, and if your curl still lasts a little bit and your perm hasn't completely fallen out, simply use a flat iron in order to help manage your curl. You can blow your hair out and then flat iron it in order to get your ends a little bit closer together, maintain that frizz, plus pull your curl out a little bit. If you want to keep curl in your hair but do not want to keep the permed curl, you can use a curling iron as well, and go through your hair with a curling iron in order to weave a bit or a softer wave in there, but still maintain and manage the curl that was left behind from the perm. And that is how you do make a perm fall out faster."
