"My name is Lauren and I'm here to tell you how to give a boy a simple boy haircut. The simplest way to actually probably cut a boy's hair is by using clippers. Clippers come with different blades that come in your pack. You can buy them pretty much anywhere, I think even Walgreen's sells them. And you would attach each one of these, depending on the length that you would want, you would attach one of these blades which will cover the blade that will go down to the skin onto your actual clipper. The good rule of thumb is longer the blade actually is the longer the hair will be so the shorter it is, it would be the shorter the hair. You can go down to basically skin fades you can also go down to more military cuts which would be your skin fade and your number one on the size, that's very, very short. They go up to about five or six. Some of them even go up to eight depending on which brand you buy. What you're simply going to do is put the clipper once they're on, flush against the scalp and you're going to work your way up and out. Its nice if you're going to kind of just cut the top and leave the top a little bit longer. You're going to bring your clippers coming up, that's going to help with blending. You can use a comb in order to help you and give you that line and you can go up and out as you hit that comb and then that way you can start getting rid of all of the hair but its more or less a flip of the fingers or of the wrist in order to get that to come out. Once you get your sides you can continue to blend you top by using a pair of scissors. The best way to cut hair is to cut hair and to blend it is to simply cut into hair. Sometimes its harder when you see straight lines and especially if the hair is light, the straight lines are more noticeable. You can avoid having those straight lines by point cutting into the hair by going like this. Again when you are using shears, you do want to make sure that they are for, especially for haircutting. Do not use your everyday kitchen scissors. What will happen is it will fray your ends and it will make that even though you just got a haircut, it will make you like you have one because of split ends. And that is a very simple way to cut a boy's hair."
