"My name is Lauren and today I'm going to talk about getting Marcia Cross' hair color. Now, that beautiful, rich auburny-red that she has, has got a nice little copper undertone to it. Her hair is at a level seven, which is similar to the base of this mannequin right here. Ultimately, in order to get it, you would want to seek a stylist in order for them to match up the color and create the color that she does have. Normally what you would do, in order to create her hair color, which does have a lot of dimension, the stylist would go through, would highlight certain pieces of your hair that little bit brighter of that red coppery color. Sometimes, they'll do more than one color. Some will be, some pieces will be a little bit brighter red, some will be a brighter copper. After you have some foils placed within the hair, then the stylist will go through and place a bit of a rich auburn-red color all through out the ends of your hair. We'll be starting at your root and bring it all the way through. I do not suggest trying to get Marcia Cross' color from a box. Box color can be very temperamental in some ways because you don't know how it's going to pick up. You also don't know how your own natural color will pick up the color that you place on it. Also, if your hair is a bit darker than the level that Marcia Cross is at, then you may need to use a higher level peroxide in order to get more of a lightening factor. So in order to get Marcia Cross', I would suggest going to a professional and getting somebody to put in maybe a few of those nice, red-coppery highlights and then glazing the rest of the color that way you have dimension and richness all in one. That is how you get Marcia Cross' hair color."
