"Hi, my name is Lauren and today I'm going to discuss how to make your kid's haircut a happy one. Today there are numerous places that are catered to your child and they can go in and its more or less of a fun zone. They get their haircut in airplane seats or they have TVs with cartoons on them. They also, there's a lot of salons that can actually, that just cater to the ever growing needs of children and have toys on hand in order to give your child while they get a haircut. You can scope out your local Internet or the Internet for local places and they will direct you as to different kid friendly salons or kid orientated salons which really make getting their haircut an actual experience and a fun experience for them. If you choose not use one of the kid friendly salons, you can use a regular salon but I do suggest that you bring maybe a favorite toy or you know a favorite blanket, something that they really enjoy and bring it with them so that way they have some of their own comforts with them. I also recommend using an experienced stylist. You want somebody who is experienced number one working with a moving target because ultimately children its very hard for them to sit still so you want somebody who can work with the fact that their head may be moving and will most definitely be moving as they're getting their haircut. Also timing is crucial. You do not want your child, especially if they're not enjoying the experience of a haircut to have to sit for about a half hour to 45 minutes getting that haircut. You want the haircut to be a little bit quicker. Usually your more experienced stylists that have a lot of experience with children will be able to do the haircut number one, you know make it effective and you know, have it look nice. But will also be able to do it quick enough where it will be short enough time where the child will not become very aggravated. Another thing that a lot of people do is just give their child like a lollipop at the end or you know they give them some sort of treat for being good. That can help just kind of ease the situation if they know they're going to get a reward when they're done. So again, if you choose not to do the kid friendly or kid orientated salons, you can make the haircutting experience a really nice experience for them. Just make sure that the place you go is kid friendly and that they operator you use is not only experienced with children but can also make your child feel at ease. And that is how to make a haircut a happy one."
