"My name is Lauren. Today I'm going to tell you how to care for your wig. Washing your wig is very crucial in order for your wig to look healthy, also for it to look tame. A lot of times, wigs become very matted up or just dingy looking after a lot of use. How often should you wash your wig? It depends on the factors such as air quality and humidity. In some regions of the world, you need to wash it more often because your wig be, starts to look a little more matted or dingy before other places would. Usually they say it's about approximately every eight to twelve wears you would want to wash your wig. To wash your wig, you're going to brush your hair, wig with your wig brush. Wig brushes tend to have a little bit more of condensed brushes. They're more bore bristle in order to be a little bit nicer on the actual hair. They don't pull as much. So you would brush it with the wig brush. You would then add one tablespoon of your wig shampoo to a sink filled with cold water. You do not need to and you should not wash a wig in hot or warm water. You should always keep it cold. You're going to immerse your wig for one minute and agitate it gently. Do not shampoo as if you would shampoo your own head. I usually just kind of do a washing machine effect and put your hand in and just kind of move it around so that way it moves and the hair opens it. Do not actually scrub, rub or ring it. We're then going to rinse it with cold water, twice in order to make sure all the shampoo has comes out. You will then use a slender object, such as maybe a hairspray can and you would lay the wig over your hairspray can in order for it to be able to air dry, plus have the air go from inside to out, so we can get the underneath. The last thing you want is a moldy wig. Then you're going to spray your wig conditioner onto your wig and use your wig brush in order to brush it through and smooth it. You should use, about every eight to twelve wears, if you should do the shampoo. However, your conditioner, you can in between your shampoos, in order to help smooth, tame, and make your wig look a little more woolly. You can use the conditioner in order to kind of brush through it occasionally, just don't be too heavy handed because you don't want it to start getting that wet look and you don't want it to start looking a little more on the oily side. That is how you wash your wig."
