"Choosing music for your wedding ceremony is very important. You want to first try and figure out if you want to have live musicians or if you want to have prerecorded material. If you go for live musicians it's going to make it much better a flautist a harpist a violinist a keyboardist a quartet will really make the sound pop. You also want to remember the music for your prelude. A prelude is about thirty minutes while your guest are getting seated where you want to have music playing and some of the most popular songs are from Bach and Handel that you can play during that type of ceremony songs. You also want to remember the two songs that are going to bring your wedding your wedding party in. You have songs that bring your bridesmaids in and then the song for the bride. You also might want to choose a song for your parents to be seated or your grandparent to be seated. So, selecting songs for your processional some of the most popular ones are of course Wagner "Here Comes The Bride" and Pachelbel's Canon in D. Usually, you'll pick something like that for your entrance. Also, remember songs for your recessional a song that you're going to walk down the aisle with your bride or groom. In that circumstances bring something upbeat something like water music that really, really tells you know it's over or let's go party type of thing and also if you want to have during a ceremony music where there's people singing, some people choose to not to have music during the ceremony but a soloist with a lone violin or piano will really add something to where people will reflect. So, just remember that the music is important in your ceremony and think hard on what type of music that you want. When choosing music for your wedding reception there's a few things to keep in mind one of them is do you want to bring over some of the music that you had in your ceremony to kind of mix in everything. A good way to do that is to hire the same musicians to come over to play during the wedding reception but that's only in the case where you might not want dancing. Another way to it if you really want a lot of dancing is to have a DJ. A DJ is going to play anything from the most popular music out there to possibly whatever you want and you can actually make up a list of music and give it to your DJ. A band is another way to go. A band is also something that brings a lot of flavor to it but one of the things you need to remember for your wedding reception is it going to be universal. There are wedding bands out there that play all types of music and you'll need to really, really look for someone who is going to play the type of music you want. If you go for the band, make sure that you give them a list of songs that you want played especially for your first dance. If you're thinking of CDs, make sure you tell the DJ the same thing and when choosing music for your wedding reception, make sure that it is stuff that you like that you can also hire a western swing band if that is the type of music that your guest will enjoy especially if a lot of your guest is in music industry or something like that. You could always choose a country band or a rock band just make sure it's going to get people on there feet to dance."
