"Hi my name is Jill Weiss and I'm going to tell you a little about how to fix your softball swing. Let's see as an athlete, you softball is kind of a game of failure, it's kind of you know you are going to have a game where you are going to go three for three in a game. You might have another game where you go O for three, it's just kind of how you bounce back from you know a bad game. As far as the swing goes, there's lots of ways that you can kind of adjust you know your swing if you're popping up or you're grounding out a lot, or you're hits are going straight to the pitcher whatever the situation is. You can always go to a hitting coach, where they can kind of critique your mechanics of your swing. Cause there's so much you know whether it's you know you are starting with your lower body, moving all the way you know up to your upper body. So kind of depending on the inside and outside of where the ball is, with your swing. If your ball is going up in the air a lot you are probably dropping your back shoulder. So you, you know the way that you can kind of tell is just take in your swing and feeling you know maybe hit off a tee. And get the feel of actually how it feels to swing correctly. You can kind of adjust from there so if you are popping the ball up, you know adjust your back shoulder. Just focus on and concentrate on not dropping your back shoulder. Or dropping your hands. After you swing and the ball is going straight to the pitcher, extend your hands. You know remember you want to throw the hands towards the pitcher and then the barrel of the bat follows. If you are not getting any power, if it's just kind of you know a little ground outs, use more of your legs you know, you get your power with your legs, start your swing with your lower body.
