"Hi. My name is Jill Weiss, and I'm going to tell you a little bit about how to buy a softball glove. First thing you want to remember is that you are; when you go to look for a softball glove, you want the athlete to actually be there to try on all the different gloves, because there's all different sizes, there's all different brands. You don't have to spend a ton of money, but at the same time, these leather gloves that are more expensive are usually higher in quality and will last longer, especially if the athlete takes care of the glove. First thing is you want to remember every position has different gloves. There's a catcher's mitt. If your athlete is a first baseman, there's a first baseman's mitt. If you are an infielder, infielder's usually have smaller mitts. Outfielders usually have longer mitts. That way, they can catch those fly balls and catch them on the edge of the pocket, kind of thing like that. So once you realize what position that you're trying to buy the glove, you kind of go from there. You can also ask coaches, ask different sales rep's on kind of good quality gloves. And they want to try it on. Sometimes athletes will have the first finger outside the glove. Some will have it inside. But they have to have a good feel for it, if it's comfortable. It's going to last them a long time. So it's got to be a good choice and kind of a thought-out process on what they're looking for. My name is Jill Weiss. So that's just a little bit about buying a softball glove."
