"Ever lose you baggage at the airport? Well in some cases that may be a good thing. How do you tell if she is on the rebound? This is Dr. Paul, author of "Boomer Girls, a Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating," relationship consultant, and do I have an issue for you. When she has that baggage, and she is looking for a shoulder to cry on, and you happen to be that shoulder, you have two choices. Number one, you can listen, and sympathize, and take advantage of her and all men know this, and in her heart of hearts she knows it, too, or you can be a real person and listen to her and explain to her that you find her to be very interesting as a person, you understand that she has these issues from the past, and you recognize that she is on the rebound and certainly that she recognizes it, too. In that event, let her know that you'd like to see her again, and speak with her further, and you'd be more than happy to listen to her, but you also want her to know that you're prepared to be with her, not with her past. So, have her lose that baggage. Again, you can go one of two ways. If you go the first way she'll resent you later, believe me. If you go the second way and be really a person about it, you'll be successful with that person long term. So it's a choice you have to make gentleman. You've been there, I've been there, we've all been there. Choose the right way. This is Dr. Paul. May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow."
