But you can also call National Rail with questions. Compare your travel options. The journey can include between one and three train changes, so choose the journey with the least connections if you're unsure about your availability to navigate unfamiliar stations. Consider your options for train ticket purchase. Buy them online up to four months in advance or buy them at the station. Pay cash for tickets once your are on your train if you're pressed for time. Buy a Brit rail pass before you leave home from the Brit Rail website to save money on continuous rail travel throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
