"Hi I'm Amelia and I'm going to talk to you about how to make straight hair stay curly. The most important thing is hold, that's really what you're looking for when curling your hair. So when you dry your hair you don't want to flat iron it you don't want to make it too straight because you want to utilize any natural wave or body that you've already got in your hair, always use a good quality styling product that's going to give you hold to begin with and then you're going to want to lightly spray your hair, prior to curling it, with some sort of you can you can use a hairspray you can use a thermal setting spray, Hot Sets by Redkens great, there's another good one by Kenra thermal setting spray, any of those are wonderful you just lightly spray them on a strand before you curl the hair. Once you curl it then I go back and I spray it again. Another technique that you can use. Is when you curl the hair after you've curled it. You pin it and let it cool, because heat actually breaks down the bonds in the hair and then as it's cooling the bonds re-harden, and it hardens back into the shape that you desire. So once it's cooled you pull it out and you get a nice curl that going to stay a little bit longer than it would normally. Hairspray, some sort of thermal setting spray, they'll all help hold your hair and keep it curly so it will stay curly."
