"Hi, I'm Amelia and I'm going to talk to you about how to highlight a man's hair. One of the issues that you run in to with a man's hair is you get these lines when you highlight, and that comes from foiling. So, you don't necessarily want to foil hair this shot, because you'll get these lines. What you're probably going to want to do is if the hair is an inch or shorter, you're going to want to use a cap. Not the most exciting method of highlighting, but it definitely does work on short hair. So you would come the hair out, make sure there's no product in it, tie the cap tightly around the neck, as tight the person, you know, can stand it. And then you'll just pull the hair out of the cap, just by using the tool that's given with you in the cap kit. You just pull the hair out, apply your product, let it process. Once it processes, you shampoo and then remove the cap. Another technique that's really neat, what you need, you really only want to use that one with deposit only color or high lift bleach, is the shoe shine technique. And how this works is you put your product on the foil, I'm just going to use this as an example, so you lightly spread you product on the foil, and then you take your foil and you run it back and forth across the hair. So, this works really well on hair that's spiked or extremely short, because it just gets the tips. So you would just move it back and forth, let it process, shampoo it out, and there you've got the tips highlighted, and that's it. And those are some two techniques that you can use to highlight a man's hair."
