"Hi, I'm Amelia and I'm going to show you how to get your hair blown out. When you first start and your hair is wet, this is when you want to apply your product. So you apply your product and then first you put the blower, blow dryer on high and power dry the hair. And I'm going to show you how to do that. So you continue that all over the head and you get it mostly dry, about eighty percent dry. And that's when you start to use your brushes. You don't want to use your brush when your hair's wet because you're going to be overworking the hair, overworking yourself, and you could actually do more damage to your hair. You're going to want to start with a paddle brush. And that's going to be used to really pull out any wave and curl. And then once you get the hair nice and flat, or any of the curl out, then you can start moving to your round brushes. Your round brush, the smaller one is going to give you more body, more curl. The large one is going to give you more smoothness. So that's how you choose a brush depending on what you want. If you're looking for more volume through the top, you can use the smaller brush. There is a medium brush that's right in between that you can kind of get a little bit of both with, but if you're looking for more curl, use this brush. If you're looking for smoothness, use this brush or you can also stick with the paddle brush if you are not proficient with a round brush. When using a paddle brush, you want to make sure that you're looking for something with a rounded back and that's going to actually help to give you that smooth, more rounded feel instead of a real flat, straight feel. By using these techniques, you can do your own blowout at home."
