"Hi, I'm Amelia and I'm going to show you how to cut your hair. First you want to make sure that you divide the head up in quadrants. Always part the hair down the middle unless you know exactly where the hair's going to be parted in the front. You want to take down your first section, use your comb and cut that and do that all the way across until it's even. Then take down your next section, and you don't want the sections to be too thick. You want to make sure that you can see the previous section underneath. Then you pull the next section down, and again do the same thing all the way across. And if you're dealing with layers, once you get everything down to the perimeter to match, which this is the perimeter, then you take vertical sections. Make sure you get that other hair out of your way. Pull it up to whatever degree that you feel like you need. The lower the degree, the longer the layers. The higher, the shorter. So if you're bringing it at ninety, you're going to have a lot more layering that's going to be coming off the head like that. And if you're unsure, just take your comb and hold it and that'll kind of show you where you want the layering. So this mannequin's layering is at just about a ninety degree. So you cut that, bring your next, this is called a traveling guide because you take a bit of that hair and move that hair over, take your next section, pull that up, and where you can see the guide which is right there, and you see that hair that's hanging over, you cut that. Continue that around the head like this until you get to the front. Make sure it all makes, is even. And on the sides, you want to bring everything down as well and cut that. Continue that around. And that's how you cut hair."
