"Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to talk to you about ways to decide on a hairstyle for the prom. You always want to take into consideration, the dress you're wearing, the jewelry you're wearing, and of course, maybe the era you're trying to impart, with what you're wearing. For example, if your dress looks something like something out of the 40's, you might want to go with a hairstyle that's sort of fits that era. If you're wearing a flapper style dress, you might want to wear something maybe with some finger waves, or pin curls, to bring in that era, and I don't mean going completely all out, just sort of using some of those techniques in your hairstyle. If you start to look too one era, you look too much like a throwback, and it doesn't work, so you just want to use a little bit. Also, you want to think about things that look best on your face. If you've got a long bang, or you've got a lot of layers, you can still wear your hair up, because what is important is the perimeter length. In other words, the length down here. As long as that can go back, any hairdresser can work with the layers in between. Another thing you want to take into consideration, is maybe some hair pieces, if your hair isn't long enough. Make sure that it matches properly, or even some accessories, some beaded accessories, flowers, anything like that. If you've got a piece, that maybe you just want to do something at home, a simple little ponytail. You can put a flower or a bow in it, and it automatically dresses it up, so when trying to figure out a style for the prom, don't just think of the normal French twist, or curls in a ponytail. Go out, really look around. Look at your environment around you, look at some pictures. Take a look at some bridal magazines, because they've always got great hair, as well, and really think about what's going to compliment your dress, and your evening, and that's how you can help you decide on a hairstyle for the prom."
