"Hi, I'm Amelia, and I'm going to talk to you about if you can dye your hair when you're pregnant. There is no scientific evidence to show that hair color effects pregnancy in any way. However, most doctors do not recommend you dying your hair with all-over color, in other words, root to end, until at least your second trimester. So, if you are concerned about that, I would definitely wait. If you're not, another thing that you can do, is you can do foil. So, foil, as you can see, just highlights sections of hair, and it doesn't actually get on the scalp. Whereas root to end color, which is applied actually on the scalp and all the way down. That can get into the bloodstream, a little bit. So if you're concerned about that, definitely wait. Another thing to be concerned about it the fumes. So when getting highlights or color, try to ask your designer not to put you underneath a dryer, anything that's going to cause you to smell those fumes because that can make you a little ill. Just sick on your stomach, that's all. So, if you're concerned about dying your hair when you're pregnant, definitely discuss it with your doctor and your hairdresser. But as of right now, there's no scientific evidence to prove that it's, that there's any ill effects on the unborn fetus."
