"Ok, in this clip I'm going to show you how to divide fractions. Say we have a fraction, 2/5, and we want to divide by 1/3. Since there's no way to directly divide these fractions, what you're going to do is you're going to invert the second fraction, and then multiply. So, in this, this problem will transform to 2/5 times 3 over 1, which is the reciprocal of 1/3, because when you take the reciprocal, you are exchanging division for multiplication. Now the problem is transformed to an easy fraction multiplication problem. Now you just take the two numerators, multiply them together, and the denominators and multiply them together. Now, this is how you divide fractions. Another example of dividing fractions: let's say you have 2/3 and you want to divide it by 1/8. Just like in the previous example, the second fraction we're going to invert and then change the operation to multiplication. So this statement is equivalent to 2/3 multiplied by the inverse of 1/8, which is 8 over 1; we just flip it. Now we have a straightforward fraction multiplication problem. 2 times 8 is 16, 3 times 1 is 3. That's how you divide fractions."
