"Hello my name is Vic Schumacher. The company is HPE Financial Services. It's my understanding, you want to learn how to buy health insurance. It's a pretty generic concept, the idea is, how do you go out and buy a car? What do you want on the car? What can you afford in the car? What's the purpose of the car? The same thing applies to health insurance. If you are self-employed, then you have an individual policy. If you work through an employer, then there's a group plan usually involved. Whether it is a group plan or an individual plan, you have to decide what are the benefits that you're looking for. How much can you afford to pay for the premium? Do you want a drug prescription program included in this? Do you want doctor's office visits included in this? What are the benefits that you want? Then you sit down and you figure out "What can I afford?" All of the different carriers have a variety of different plans that are available. They include all different benefits. They can have certain benefits left off. You can work this just as a smorgasbord and you're going through like in a particular restaurant. The key factor is "What is your budget?"; "What do you want this thing to do for you?" If you have to use it, how you can afford it? You've got to have coverage. You can't be left yourself alone in a jeopardy situation. My name is Vic Schumacher, the company is HPE Financial Services, helping people everyday."
